NOTE : HC emissions from two-stroke engines are significantly higher
than those from any four-stroke vehicle. The oil separator has been
developed to isolate oils and condensates impregnated with unburnt HC
from two-stroke vehicles.
To optimise the time required for the execution of analysis tests on four-
stroke motorcycles, it is recommended to disconnect the oil separation
system from the analyser and use, in its place, the car gas sampling
probe complete with pipe, supplied with the tool (see Figure 15).

This is because if you want to perform a four-stroke emission test after
having performed an emission test on a two-stroke engine, you will have
to wait several minutes before being able to actually perform the test,
until the HC in the circuit between the analyser and the oil separator are
fully purged.
Four-stroke motorcycles are often equipped with several exhausts; for this
reason, the supply includes 4 special probes (see Figure 16, Figure 17 and
Figure 18), which can be connected simultaneously to the oil separation kit,
thus making the emission measurement easier on motorcycles with multiple
exhausts.
