Low Resistance Fault
Description
Measurement
Possible Cause
Action Required
Resistance
Voltage
Zone 1 Low
Resistance Fault
51
Ω –
220
Ω
0.5 V DC
–
14.5 V DC
The input or output is measuring the
indicated voltage or resistance range,
across the negative and positive
terminals.
Check Cabling and routes for physical
or water damage.
Zone 2 Low
Resistance Fault
19.1 V DC
–
20.9 V DC
(For IS Zone)
Ensure cable is routed minimum
500 mm from high voltage cables.
Zone 3 Low
Resistance Fault
To confirm the
panel’s indications,
Voltage should be measured across
the input or output whilst the field
cabling is connected to the Main PCB.
Ensure correct value EOL is in place.
Zone 4 Low
Resistance Fault
Check field device termination and
polarity.
Zone 5 Low
Resistance Fault
In addition, the resistance should be
measured with the input or output
cabling removed from the Main PCB
(disconnect terminal block).
If low resistance fault persists after
completing above checks, break zone
cabling at the field devices, in smaller
sections, to reduce the search area.
Zone 6 Low
Resistance Fault
Zone 7 Low
Resistance Fault
Once the resistance measurement
confirms you have a low resistance on
the field cabling proceed to "Action
Required”.
If the problem persists, please contact
your supplier.
Zone 8 Low
Resistance Fault
Input 1 Low
Resistance Fault
40
Ω –
220
Ω
0.03 V DC
–
0.06 V DC
If the cable is clear, insert an EOL
across the affected input or outputs
terminals, at the panel, to confirm that
the product is not faulty.
Input 2 Low
Resistance Fault
Sounder 1 Low
Resistance Fault
51
Ω –
900
Ω
0.01 V DC
–
0.2 V DC
If the problem persists, please contact
your supplier.
