3.7 BATTERY OPERATION
(1) Set Ext DC/INT AC/DC switch to INT AC/DC.
(2) Set BATTERY switch to ON.
(3) Press BAT TEST switch. Battery CHG'D indicator shall light. If BAT LOW indicator
lights, charge unit before using in Battery Mode.
3.7.1 Battery Charging
Completely discharged batteries will require 6 Hrs to charge to 95% capacity or 8 Hrs to
charge to 100% capacity. Batteries should be completely discharged and recharged at six
month intervals when not in regular use.
(1) Install AC Power Cord.
(2) Set Ext DC/INT AC/DC switch to INT AC/DC.
(3) Set BATTERY switch to ON to charge Batteries.
(4) Press BAT TEST.- Battery CHG'D indicator shall light. If BAT LOW indicator lights
battery or charger may be defective. Replace batteries as indicated in paragraph 2-2
and repeat charging procedure. If batteries fail to charge return unit for repair (Refer
to Warranty Information Page A).

Test Points are provided on rear panel of the Portable
Case for exact measurement of battery voltage. Output
impedance is 20 K
