CARE AND CLEANING

All care and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged
from the mains power.
The surface of the unit can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth and then dried
carefully. Never use abrasives, abrasive cloths or chemical solvents .
Do NOT clean the inside of the CD player with a cloth. Lightly blow out any dust.
If your CDs don’t play properly, this is likely to be caused by surface damage or dirt
on the CD. If the CD lens gets dirty, use a proprietary lens cleaner and follow the
instructions carefully. If you keep the CD door closed at all times when the unit is
not in use, the lens is extremely unlikely to get dirty.
Sudden changes in temperature can cause condensation to form on the lens of
your CD player. Playing a CD is then not possible. Do not attempt to clean the lens
but leave the set in a warm environment until the moisture evaporates
Dirty, scratched or warped discs may skip or cause noise. Discs should be stored in
their cases after use to avoid scratches.
Handle the disc only by the edges. To keep discs clean, do not touch the surface.
Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperature, dust, etc.
Do not stick or write anything on the disc. Sharp writing instruments or the inks
used in some felt tip pens may damage its surface.

When loading a CD into the player:

Position the disc over the centre spindle. Make sure the printed
side faces out. Press the CD gently into place.

When removing a CD from the player:

Press lightly on the centre spindle. Ease the CD off by holding
it at the edges. Do not touch the playing surface.

NEVER use force
