Warning Notices

On the instrument and throughout this publication, warning no-
tices are to be interpreted as follows:

Safety - Basics

General Operating Hazards

For all applications of the 

TECAN 

instrument, it is essential that

the user strictly follows all instructions described in the related
manuals.

The 

TECAN 

instrument requires accurate positioning of all car-

riers, racks and buckets on the instrument’s worktable. The op-
erator should verify this before switching on the instrument.

In the event of power failure or an otherwise aborted run, the in-
formation of all partially processed samples will be lost. There-
fore,  an Uninterrupted Power Supply is highly recommen-
ded!

Upon attempting to restart an interrupted program, the comput-
er screen provides instructions for resuming operation.

All precautions must be followed to ensure safe operation of the
instrument.

WARNING

Indicates the possibility of severe personal in-
jury, loss of life or equipment damage if in-
structions are not followed.

The Icon Type indicates which kind of risk a person or
equipment is exposed to.
