Using the P-03 Universal for the first time
When using the P-03 Universal for the first time or after the P-03
Universal has been reset to factory defaults, it is necessary to
select the digital output terminal.
When all connections are completed, perform the following
operations. Note that no sound may be output unless you select
the proper output terminal.
Turn the unit on.

Use the SKIP button (

) to select digital output.

Press the UP CONVERT button twice to exit setup.

“OUT>Select” blinks on the display.
DUAL, i.LINK, RCA, XLR
The output changes with each press of the button. Select the
terminal to which the D/A converter is connected.

Select DUAL when a dual AES device is connected to the unit
using XLR digital cables.

ES-LINK is a proprietary Esoteric format enabling Super Audio
CD digital output. To output signals in the ES-LINK format,
connect an Esoteric ES-LINK compliant D/A converter (D-03 or
D-01) to the two XLR terminals on the unit using XLR digital
cables, select the DUAL digital output, and play a Super Audio
CD.
