6. Set-up instructions
1. Inspect the tractor and be sure about its good conditions.
2. Keep the structure that protects against tipping over and the safety devices in good
conditions.
3. Shut down the tractor before carrying out any verification.
4. Use lanterns and safety warnings when driving on roads.
5. Reduce the speed on slopes, curves or narrow paths.
6. Never let the tractor engine running when the operator is away.
7. Check the tractor tires inflation.
Tractor precautions
Preparing the equipment
This equipment must be always parked on a flat and dry area, free from any debris and
strange objects. Follow the procedures to set-up the equipment:
1. Clean the area and remove strange objects from the equipment and from the work
place;
2. Make sure that there is enough room to maneuver the tractor until the hitching;
3. Turn on the tractor and slowly approaches it to the hitching point;
4. Use a clean cloth or a paper towel to clean the couplers on the hose ends if your
equipment has an hydraulic system. Also, clean the area around the tractor couplers;
5.
Lubricate all grease fittings appropriately. (check the instructions on the 'lubrication'
page).
6. Check the fixation elements adjustment: bolts, pins, cotter pins and retetion rings.
7. Check the general conditions of the tractor and equipment.
8. Test the equipment on a wide field to be sure that the system is working properly
before starting the operations.
ATTENTION!
- Never work if the equipment has any elevated load on slopes. This act may lead to
serious damages to the equipment and the tractor may tip over.
