Recommended CRS Position as per
the Vehicle Matrix
The suitability of seat position for carriage
of children and recommended category of
CRS is shown in the table below as per the
child group.
X - Seat Position not suitable for children
in this age group.
U - Suitable for “universal” category re-
straints approved for use in this age group.
L - Suitable for particular child restraints.
These restraints may be of the specific ve-
hicle, restricted or semi-universal cate-
gories.
Universal is a category in the AIS072 /
ECE R44 norm.
WARNING
If a child is seated in the front seat it
may cause serious injury or even death
during any collision.
