Optimizing the Screen Display

After the channels have been found and saved, you are
automatically taken back to the configuration page. Here you can
make further settings, such as optimizing the screen display or
configuring the connected loudspeakers. Select Optimize Media
Center display and click on the Next button. Click Watch Video to
view a test film to verify the current settings. Click Next to
proceed directly to the configuration.
Now select your monitor type – eg. normal CRT monitor,
flat-screen or if necessary, TV or projector output. Now enter how
this device is connected to the computer: eg., via VGA or DVI
cable, or via the traditional video or S-Video cable.

In the following step select the screen format. You can
choose between 16:9 and 4:3 screen formats. If your screen has
another format, choose the most similar one. If your flat-screen
works with the popular 16:10 format, for example, select the 16:9
option. The Media Center usually retains the currently selected
resolution. You can though, if you prefer, select your own
resolution for TV and film output. By clicking Yes you can keep
the current resolution and by clicking No you can assign your
own resolution. And finally you can now customize the picture
display. Here you can adjust the brightness, contrast or RGB
