GATEKEEPER SETTINGS
E.164 ALIAS
When using a Gatekeeper, the system will send a message to the Gatekeeper containing both the E.164 Alias
and the H.323 ID of the system.
This is the E.164 address of the system, according to the numbering plan implemented in the Gatekeeper.
The E.164 Alias is equivalent to a telephone number, sometimes combined with access codes.
E.164 Alias can have a maximum of 15 digits and valid characters are 0–9, * and #.
Example:
90476159
E.164 is an ITU-T recommendation which defines the
international public telecommunication numbering plan used in
the public switched telephone networks and some other data
networks.
