CONTROLS
CONTROL CONSOLE
BUTTONS
6. Attachment lock button
When traveling on a road, be sure to lock
the working equipment. If any of the
controls is accidentally touched when it is
unlocked, the machine may suddenly
move and cause serious injury or death.
This button is used when traveling on
a road. Pressing this button will light
the button lamp indicating that the
operations of the hoe attachment, slewing,
auxiliary circuit and blade (outriggers) are
locked. Pressing this button once again turns
off the lamp and releases the lock.
7. Travel pedal button (foot accelerator
mode)
Pressing this button while the brake
pedal is depressed will light the
button lamp and enable the operator
to control the engine RPM by operating the
travel pedal. Turn on this button when
traveling. This button can be used in the
digging mode.
IMPORTANT: Do not activate the parking
brake while digging. Doing so could
damage the brake disk due to the
excessive load acting on it. Lock the
brake pedal by depressing it down.
Note:
The parking brake is automatically
activated when the power is turned off.
8. Auto-cruise button (cruise control)
Do not use this button on the following
roads.
• Heavy traffic roads where a safe
spacing between vehicles cannot be
kept.
• Roads with many steep down slopes or
curves.
• Slippery roads due to freezing or
snowing.
Note:
When traveling the slopes (up or
down), a constant vehicle speed cannot be
retained due to the gradient.
The cruise control (automatic
constant speed traveling device) is a
feature that enables to retain a
desired vehicle speed without operating the
travel pedal.
This function is available in the low-speed
travel (Turtle) or in the high-speed travel
(Hare). Note that it only applies to the
“forward” traveling.
Setting a speed
1. Fully depress the travel pedal (engine RPM
1750 rpm or more).
2. Press the cruise button to set the speed.
The auto-cruise indicator lamp lights up
on the display and the auto-cruise button
lamp also lights up. The travel speed can
be adjusted by increasing or decreasing
the engine RPM.
Canceling the speed setting
To cancel, do either of the following. The
auto-cruise display lamp will also go out.
• Step on the brake pedal.
• Step on the travel pedal and release it.
• Press this button again. The button lamp
will also go out.
