TROUBLESHOOTING
TOWING
TOWING
When towing, serious injury or death
could result, if performed incorrectly or
the wire rope being used is inappropriate
or not properly inspected.
• It becomes dangerous if the wire rope
breaks or becomes disengaged. Use a
wire rope appropriate for the required
tractive force.
• Do not use a wire rope that is kinked,
twisted or otherwise damaged.
• Do not apply heavy loads abruptly to
the wire rope.
• Wear safety gloves when handling the
wire rope.
• Make sure there is an operator on the
machine being towed as well as on the
machine that is towing.
• Never tow on slopes.
• Do not let anyone come near to the wire
rope while towing.
• The machine should be towed only
when it gets stuck in mud.
• Be sure to use a towing truck with
sufficient braking power.
IMPORTANT: Do not tow a machine if its
engine does not start or if the machine
does not run. Doing so could damage the
hydraulic devices.
Release the parking brake (if hydraulic oil
pressure fails).
In case of hydraulic oil pressure failure or
hydraulic motor failure, the emergency
actuator disconnects the reduction gear
clutch so that the emergency machine
towing can be performed.
To ensure that a rigid towing rod and a
tow-truck with sufficient braking power are
used.
No servo-assisted steering - only manual
steering with great force.
1. Depress the brake pedal all the way down
to lock it.
2. Chock the wheels to secure the machine.
3. Move the transmission shaft (A) to and fro
to set the gear to the neutral position.
Insert a bar into the hole (8 dia.) on the tip
of the shaft (A) and move it to and fro.
Neutral position ....28mm (1.1 in.)
...................17mm (0.66 in.)
.........39mm (1.54 in.)
4. Forcibly release the parking brake (B).
