System Configuration
The T801-4 can be configured in hardware by the DIP switches on the rear
panel, and by the links on the system interface board. Software
configuration is carried out using the ET software (refer to
“Programming”
on page 35
).
The T801-4 needs to be configured for operation in the following system
configurations:
■
T801-4 with internal GPS receiver
■
T801-4 with external GPS receiver
■
T801-4 with both internal and external GPS receivers
■
T801-4 supplied with a single 1PPS signal from a QS
2
RSU system
■
T801-4 supplied with dual 1PPS signals from a QS
2
RSU system.
Note
You cannot use the T801-4 to provide a 1PPS signal to the QS
2
RSU with version 3.00.00.00 and later firmware. Although
PORT B
provides a 1PPS RS-485 output, the associated VALID
signal (TTL steady state level) is not compatible with version 3 and
later firmware, which is designed for a pulsed VALID input.
Refer to the RSU Service Manual for more information.
