II. Maintenance and Repairs
CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing.
1. Access the motor compartment as shown on pages 38-39.
2. Remove the clean air motor (Fig. A.)
3. Remove the two screws for the thremal reset (Fig. B.)
4. Use a soldering iron to desolder the thermal reset and solder in the new one. If this method cannot be
used then cut the wires and splice them together or replace the entire wire harness.
5. Secure the thermal reset switch to the dust compartment using the two screws.
6. Reinstall the motor being careful not to pinch any wires and reassemble vacuum. For full reassembly
instructions see page 41-45
