CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing
NOTE: Hall Sensor componants are sensitive to static shock. Use grounding strap and anti-static
mat if possible.
1. Remove the four (4) scrws holding the nozzle cover (Fig. A.) Flip the machine over and remove the
nozzle cover.
2. Remove the hall sensor spring screw, grounding screw, plate screw, and the washer and screw shown
in Fig. B.
3. Lift the hall sensor wheel and remove the second plate screw (Fig. C.)
4. Use needle nose pliers to remove the hall sensor connector from the light board (Fig. 4.)
5. Remove and discard old hall sensor assembly. Install new hall sensor assembly and route the wire
underneath the main harness wire as shown in Fig. B. Take care to avoid pinching any wires when
reinstalling screws. Replace the nozzle cover.
*Note: The motor will shut down after a few seconds without the belt and agitator installed.
