Pressure controller REP 6/10
4. Assembly
4.1 Assembly
Observe the following points:
•
Assemble the cover on a flat surface to avoid bending!
•
Use suitable screws and assemble the enclosed plastic rings!
•
Cable entries must be freely accessible!
•
Shield from direct sunlight!
•
Assembly site (agricultural application)
If possible, assemble the controller in an adjoining room and not directly in the stable to avoid damage
from ammonia (NH
3
) fumes.
4.2 Temperature issues when starting up
Avoid condensation in the controller and the functional disorders this may entail by storing the controller at
room temperature!
4.3 Control voltage connection potential
Due to the connection between a "GND" terminal block and a "PE" connection
(terminal block for screen), the control voltage is connected to the protective
conductor potential for safety reasons. If special cases require a potential
difference, this connection can be removed.
•
If this connection is removed, a maximum voltage across the control voltage
connections of 20V must be ensured (between the "GND" and protective conductor
"PE" terminal blocks).
•
Insulated high-tension power leads must be used for the control
lines.
4.4 Wiring / Screening
Motor leads
There is no general recommendation concerning screened cable for the engine leads.
Control leads
To avoid interference, control leads must be screened if longer than 20 m or are
routed adjacent to other leads (e.g. in a conduit). When using screened cable, the
screen (as short as possible) must be connected to the protective conductor in the
controller (separate terminal block, marked ).
