Operating when connected to a PABX
If you are operating your base station on a PABX, special characteristics for receiving
text messages should be noted (page 58).
Access code
Precondition:
If your phone is connected to a PABX you may have to enter an access
code (outside line code) for external calls when first getting started, depending on the
PABX. See the operating instructions for your PABX. You can enter a one to four-digit
access code.
For incoming calls, the access code is automatically placed in front of the caller's phone
number in the display and in the caller lists, and likewise when copied to the
Phonebook. The saved phone number can then be dialled directly, e.g. from the caller
Dialling options
The KEYPAD function allows you to control certain services by entering sequences of
characters and digits.
The KEYPAD function must be set when connecting your device to an ISDN PABX or to a
telephone exchange which uses KEYPAD protocol for controlling. The digits/characters
0–9, *, #
are sent as keypad information elements. Please ask your service provider
about the information and codes you can transmit.
