Conditions for
pH calculation



only 1 alkalization agent (acid-base pair) in the sample (no

mixture)



the contamination is mostly NaCl



phosphate concentration is < 0.5 ppm



if pH value is < 8, the concentration of contaminant must be

small compared to the concentration of the alkalization agent



pH value is > 7.5, and < 11.5
