X7SB3

2-2 Mounting the Motherboard in the Chassis

For proper installation, please follow the instructions below to mount the mother-
board into the chassis before installing the CPU on the motherboard.

Tools needed

Phillips screwdriver

•

#6 32 x5mm pan head screw as shown below.

•

Installation Procedures

Locate the mounting holes on the motherboard. Refer to the layout below for

•

the locations of the mounting holes. (The holes marked with arrows are the
mounting holes on this motherboard.)

Pan head

6-32 x 5 mm

[0.197]

Locate the mounting holes on the chassis.

•

Align the mounting holes on the motherboard against the mounting holes on

•

the chassis.

Insert a #6 pan head screw into a pair of mounting holes on the motherboard

•

and on the chassis.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screw. Make sure that the standoffs on

•

the chassis click in or are screwed in tightly.
