Serial Ports
One serial port is included on the
serverboard. The COM port is located
beside the VGA port. See the table on
the right for pin defi nitions.
Note: NC indicates no connection.

SGPIO Header
An SGPIO (Serial General Purpose
Input/Output) header is included on
the serverboard. This header is used to
communicate with the System Monitor-
ing chip on the backplane to monitor
SATA activity. See the table on the right
for pin defi nitions.

Unit Identifi cation Switches
There are two Unit Identifi cation (UID)
switches on each motherboard. The
Control Panel UID Switch is connected
to a JF1 pin. The Rear UID Switch
(SW1) is located next to the VGA port.
When you push the UID wwitch on
the Control Panel, both the rear and
control panel UID LEDs will be turned
on. Push the front or rear UID switch
again to turn off both Indicators.
