Chapter 1

Introduction

1-1 Overview

The SuperServer 5017R-WRF is a 1U server comprised of two main subsystems:

the SC815TQ-R500WB chassis and the X9SRW-F motherboard. Please refer to

our web site for information on operating systems that have been certifi ed for use

with the system (www.supermicro.com).

In addition to the motherboard and chassis, various hardware components have

been included with the 5017R-WRF, as listed below:

Three 4-cm chassis fans (FAN-0086L4)

One passive CPU heatsink (SNK-P0047PS)

•

Two riser cards (RSC-R1UW-E8R and RSC-R1UW-2E16)
