Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

Optional Front Fan

1. Remove power from the system as described in section 3.1, and remove the left chassis 

cover.

2. Insert four rubber pins through the fan bracket and into the mounting holes in the fan.

3. Pull the rubber pins through the mounting holes of the fan to secure the fan to the 

bracket.

4. Lower the fan into the chassis, aligning the tabs on the bottom of the bracket with 

tabs in the chassis, and the holes at the top of the bracket with the screw holes in the 
chassis.

5. Secure the fan to the chassis using the two screws.

6. Connect the fan cable to the motherboard.
