Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

Adding 2.5" Storage Drives

Up to four 2.5" drives may be installed into the chassis using an optional drive cage (p/n
MCP-220-73201-0N).

Installing 2.5" Drives

1. Remove power from the system as described in section 3.1 and remove the chassis

cover.

2. Loosen the thumb screw securing the drive cage to the chassis.

3. Slide the drive cage out of the chassis. If you are replacing a drive, unplug the power

and data cables.

5. Slide the drive assembly into the drive cage until it clicks into a locked position.

6. Connect the power and data cables to the hard drive.

7. Rotate the drive cage back..
