Serial Port 2 Configuration
Serial Port
Select Enabled to enable a serial port specified by the user. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Device Settings
This item displays the settings of Serial Port 2.
Change Settings
This option specifies the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address
of Serial Port 2 (SOL). Select Disabled to prevent the serial port from accessing any
system resources. When this option is set to Disabled, the serial port becomes unavail-
able. The options are
Auto
, O=2F8h; IRQ=3; IO=3F8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12;
IO=2F8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12; IO=3E8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12; IO=2E8h;
IRQ=IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12.
Serial Port 2 Attribute
Use this feature to select the attribute for this serial port. The options are
SOL
(Serial
On LAN), and COM.
Serial Port Console Redirection
COM 1 Console Redirection
This submenu allows the user to configure the following Console Redirection settings
for this port.
Console Redirection
Select Enabled for Console Redirection support. The options are Enabled and
Disabled
.
If set to Enabled, the following items will become available for configuration:
(COM1) Console Redirection Settings
Terminal Type
Use this item to select the target terminal emulation type for Console Redirection. Se-
lect VT100 to use the ASCII Character set. Select VT100+ to add color and function
key support. Select ANSI to use the Extended ASCII Character Set. Select VT-UTF8
