Locate Command

■

Locate Command

The Locate command requests the tape drive to position the tape to a 
specified block address. Any buffered write data and filemarks are written on 
the tape 

before

 this operation starts. 

Note:

After a Locate command with the Immediate bit set. A Test Unit Ready 
command returns Busy status while the operation is in progress.
