COMPRESSOR LUbRICANTS

8.4.1  FACTORY FILL

The compressor is filled with the correct amount of lubricant at the factory before shipment.  Palasyn 45 

is the standard lubricant used to fill the compressors at the factory.  Other lubricants are available as an 

optional fill upon request.  The type of lubricant used is indicated by a decal, which is typically located on 

the sump tank.

DESCRIPTION

Palasyn 45 is a custom-formulated lubricant specifically designed for long life under severe, demanding 

conditions normally encountered in recirculating systems such as rotary screw compressors.
Palasyn 45 combines the advantages of synthesized hydrocarbon which results in performance improve-

ments beyond conventional mineral oils and many synthetic oils.

DESCRIPTION

Pal-EXTRA 44 is a custom-formulated lubricant specifically designed for long life under severe, demanding 

conditions normally encountered in recirculating systems such as rotary screw compressors.
Pal-EXTRA 44 combines the advantages of synthesized hydrocarbon blended with a very thermally and 

oxidatively stable polyester. This combination provides excellent material compatibility and superior resis-

tance to air-borne contaminants.

8.4.4  PALLUBE 32P

DESCRIPTION

Pallube 32p is a specially formulated lubricant using polyalkalene glycol (PAG) as the base fluid, which 

provides better cooling capability than most other lubricants. This will provide improved temperature 

control when operating in high ambient conditions.
Pallube 32p has a high viscosity index (188) allowing it to operate over a wide temperature range. This 

base fluid will not form deposits like most other lubricants when operating at high temperatures.

NOTE! 

Pallube 32p is biodegradable.
