3.4 REMOTE UNLOAD
The machine may be configured to allow user-
furnished external remote control. This may be wired
to a remote switch, timer, or other controls to halt
operation of the compressor as desired. To enable
remote control of the compressor:
1. Wire the remote contact to terminal 6 and
terminal 10.
2.Change ON/OFF Mode to REMOTE. The local
button must be pressed to enable
remote control.
3. Once enabled, the controller will respond to
the wired input.
• If the contact is open, the compressor unloads and
stops delivering air to the system. If the operating
mode is AUTOMATIC, the compressor will stop
after running unloaded for the period set in the
UNLOAD RUN TIME setting. When operating in a
group of sequenced compressors, this removes
only this compressor for service.
• If the contact is closed, the compressor operates
normally.
3.5 DRAIN CONTROL
Shoptek compressors are not equipped with
condensate drain valves however the Controller does
have capability to control a solenoid type drain valve.
To enable drain control:
1. Access “CUSTOMER SET” menu and select
the DRAIN/REMOTE parameter. Change
parameter to DRAIN.
2. Set the amount of time to energize the drain
solenoid. This is accomplished by the
DRAIN OPEN parameter in the “CUS-
TOMER SET” menu.
3. Set the interval between activation of the
drain cycle. This is accomplished by the
DRAIN CLOSE parameter in the “CUS-
TOMER SET” menu.
4. Connect drain solenoid valve to terminals 18
and 10.
