MAINTENANCE
Review these instructions for general
maintenance and care of your appliance.
DANGER
IF YOU SMELL GAS:
• SHUT OFF GAS TO THE APPLIANCE
• EXTINGUISH ANY OPEN FLAME
• IF ODOR CONTINUES, KEEP AWAY FROM THE
APPLIANCE AND IMMEDIATELY CALL YOUR GAS
SUPPLIER OR FIRE DEPARTMENT.
6.
Do not light the appliance if the burn media is wet.
7.
Push the Control Valve Knob in and turn counter clockwise
to the
HIGH
position until an audible “click” is heard
indicating the flame ignitor has sparked. The flame should
immediately be visible within the burner media.
8.
If the flame is not visible, immediately turn the knob back
to the OFF position and back to IGNITE to repeat the
spark process. If the flame does not ignite after 3 tries,
turn the Control Valve Knob to the
OFF
position and wait
at least 5 minutes or until there is no gas odor in the
vicinity before attempting to light.
9.
If the flame does not ignite after multiple attempts see the
Troubleshooting section of this manual.
10.
To shut down the appliance, rotate the Control Valve
Knob clockwise to the
OFF
position. It may take
a few seconds for all of the gas to exit the burner and
extinguish the flame. If the flame does not extinguish
within 30 seconds, turn off the LP gas cylinder by rotating
the cylinder knob clockwise until tight and see the
Trouble Shooting section of this manual. Do not leave
the vicinity of the appliance until all noticeable flame has
extinguished and the outer surfaces of the appliance
have cooled down.
11.
Wait at least 15 minutes to let the appliance cool down
before attaching the lid or moving the appliance.
12.
The gas cylinder should be disconnected when this
appliance is not in use. To disconnect the gas cylinder,
turn off the control knob and the cylinder valve. Turn the
coupling nut counter clockwise by hand only – do not
use tools to disconnect. Place dust cap on the cylinder
valve outlet whenever the cylinder is not in use.
1.
For easy transport, a carrying handle has been
provided on the unit sidewall. For transport and
storage, install the lid and assure the lid is in the
locked position. Slowly pick the unit up by the side
handle and allow the burn media material settle to
the bottom side of the unit as shown in
Figure B
and collapse all four (4) legs.
