Dust the fireplace on a regular basis using a soft, lint-free cloth and a high-quality furniture

˙
Always use the sam e type of furniture polish when dusting the fireplace. Alternating

Avoid using soap/water to clean the fireplace. Soap can dam age the wood finish and water
can penetrate the wood causing dam age. Anytim e liquid com es into contact with the
fireplace, it should be dried im m ediately to avoid dam age to the wood.
˙
If possible, the fireplace should be placed in a location where it will not be exposed to direct
sunlight for long periods of tim e. Sunlight can cause dam age to wood finishes, so
m inim izing its exposure will lengthen the life of the fireplace.
˙
To avoid the risk of electrical shock, ALW AYS disconnect the power cord from the electrical
outlet before any internal m aintenance or replacem ent of parts is done.
