9 FAULT
FINDING
WARNING: The controller must be disconnected from the power
supply before any service.
All work involving access to the pump or controller must be carried
out by an approved engineer. Contact Stuart Turner Ltd for details of
approved service engineers.

Environment Protection:
Your appliance contains valuable materials which
can be recovered or recycled.
At the end of the products’ useful life, please leave it at an appropriate local civic
waste collection point.
Symptoms

Recommended Action
Pump will not start.
Electrical supply.
Check wiring connections.
Check fuse (see Technical specification
section).
Check circuit breaker is set.
Thermal protection
activated.
Wait approximately 20 minutes for the circuit
to reset.
Gully float switch stuck.
Clean gully to ensure float operates (see
cleaning procedure).
Pump works, but
does not discharge, or
discharges slowly.
The outlet and/or
suction pipe is blocked.
Joker valves have
worn.
Clean pipes.
Check for wear and cracks, and replace if
necessary.
The motor buzzes, but
does not spin.
Pump is blocked.
Do not attempt to service the pump.
Contact Stuart Turner Ltd.
The pump does not
stop.
Gully float switch stuck.
Clean gully to ensure float operates (see
cleaning procedure).
Pump runs but does
not remove water quick
enough.
Water flow is greater
than pump capacity.
Refer to max. flow rates detailed in technical
specification. Shower should not exceed
these rates.
