Only relevant when disc cooling is being used:
Replacing the Swivel for Disc
Cooling
Struers recommends that the swivel be replaced at least every
two years.

Turn off the power and remove the plug and the cable before
opening the machine. Place RotoPol-31/-35 as indicated in
suggestion 1 or 2:
Place RotoPol-31/-35 on two tables with the rubber feet resting on
the tables as shown in the sketch, so as to have access to the
underside of RotoPol-31/-35.

Swivel.

Remove the specimen mover, if mounted, and carefully tilt
RotoPol-31/-35 to one side so as to have access to the base.
Alternative Suggestion 2

Remove the protection guard for the swivel.

Remove the tube on the swivel: push the ring and pull off the
tube. Pull the tube out of the clips.
„
Remove the bottom cover.
„
Support the belt wheel and unscrew the swivel with an open-
end spanner.
„
Fasten the new swivel with a moderate torque and mount the
parts again.
