3.7 Plunger
3.7.1 Setting the plunger (Fig. 10)
A T T E N T I O N !
Switch off machine electrically.
The plunger should be placed centrically in the stitch plate opening and 1 mm left
from the needle shaft center (Fig. 10). It should be in standstill just before the needle
penetrates the fabric, i.e. at a distance of the needle point of approx. 2 +0.5 mm.
With the cloth support arm being in its highest position the plunger should lift the
needle by approx. 0.2 mm. The cloth support arm should be close to the stop screw.
