Replacing a U779V Fabric Switch

To log in to the fabric switch from OpenVOS
1. Log in to OpenVOS.
2. From the command line, telnet to the fabric switch. For example:
m130: telnet 10.10.1.18 (10.10.1.19)
Trying 10.10.1.18...
Connected to 10.10.1.18.
Escape character is '^]'.

SW6510 login: admin

3. To change the IP information, specify the
ipaddrset
command and enter new
values at the prompts. For example:
SW6510:FID128:admin> ipaddrset
Ethernet IP Address [10.10.1.18]: new_IP_address <ENTER>
Ethernet Subnetmask [255.255.255.0]: new_subnetmask <ENTER>
Gateway IP Address [10.10.1.1]: new_IP_address <ENTER>
DHCP [Off]:
4. Log off from the fabric switch with the
exit
command. For example:
SW6510:FID128:admin> exit
Stopping and Restarting the
storage_monitor
Daemon
You must stop and restart the
storage_monitor
daemon if you change the IP
addresses of the fabric switch. To do so, run the
start_monitor
command macro,
as shown in the following example.
