b. Attach the two side rails to the replacement switch by aligning the screw holes
in the side rails with the holes in the side of the switch. Attach the screws (five
per rail) to each rail (
Figure A-10 ).
N O T E
Future versions of the fabric switch will have only three
screws per rail.

2. If you are replacing the top switch , skip to step 3 .
If you are replacing the bottom switch , make sure that the 1U foam spacer is in
place as described in step 8 of “Removing a U779V Fabric Switch” on page A-1 ,
then continue to step 3 of this procedure.
N O T I C E
The 1U foam spacer helps support the bottom switch
during the removal process.
Failure to use it may result
in damage to the switch or the system.
