4.2.1 Pulsator Control Box
The pulsator control box is set with the following standard settings from the factory:
Front teats: 55/45
Rear
teats: 60/40
Speed: 58 double strokes per minute
This means that 55% of the time there is sucked on the front teats, and 60% of the time
there is sucked on the rear teats. A difference in the suction ratio of more than 5% on
the rear teats, where there is most milk.
The pulsator control box has 16 preset pulsation ratios. If you wish to have another pul-
sation ratio, this can easily be changed. Ask your STRANGKO dealer or service fitter.
The electronics are electronically secures against overload and short circuits on the pul-
sator side.
If there should be a break on the cable causing a short circuit, the power to the pulsator
is automatically disconnected. When the error has been corrected, the power is auto-
matically coupled back on.
On the net side there is a gasket, which secures the control box. The size of it is stated
at the gasket holder.
In the control box there is a spare gasket in a plastic bag and there is a complete in-
struction about the control box.
4.2.2 Electronic Pulsators
In the electronic pulsator there are 2 valves - one for the front teats and one for the rear
teats. They open for the vacuum for suction and atmospheric air for the massage in the
measure given by the pulsator control box. The pulsator is to be cleaned for eventual
dirt when needed, normally every half year and more often, if feeding automates are
installed.
It is done like this:
Take off the double air hose at the cluster, and suck some litres lukewarm water added
cleansing agent into it. Then suck air through it for a few minutes to dry it and put the
hose back on again.
Once a year all cable connections and switches on the el vacuum cocks are to be check
for good contact, and the pulsation ratio of the pulsators is to be tested. This should be
done by an authorized STRANGKO dealer or service fitter.
