2.7.3 Vacuum Cocks
The vacuum cocks are lubri-
cated after rinsing it with thin
oil.
The automatic vacuum cocks
should be checked for density.
Every 2nd year the gasket in
the ball seating should be ex-
changed and eventual scratched balls should be renewed.
3.0 RECEIVER
UNIT
The unit which divides air and milk in a pipeline milking system and control the transport
of milk to the collection tank.
3.1 COLLECTION
JAR
The collection tank, which can be made of glass or stainless steel, is checked every
week, to see if it is clean and free of fat deposits.
Every 2nd year all gaskets by all connections are to be checked and renewed, if neces-
sary. The lid gasket is to be renewed every year. This is the same for butterfly valve and
the gaskets on the washing valve.
3.2 MILK
PUMP
The milk pump is of centrifugal type and has no needs for maintainance, except for the
gaskets and check valve.
3.2.1 Worn Down Motor Protection
A worn down motor protection can cause that the milk pump couples out periodically.
This is shown in the way that there is couples out with in various periods.
3.2.2 Check Valve
The check valve, which is placed at the union on the outlet stub of the milk pump, is to
be renewed every year.
The hoses to and from the milk pump are to be renewed every 2nd year.
