Lateral Tilting 

 (Optional Feature) 

The mattress base of this hospital bed can be tilted sideways along its longitudinal 
axis to an angle of approximately 25°. For safety reasons, this adjustment can only 
be carried out from the control box.  

 

Before tilting the bed along its longitudinal axis, you MUST protect 
the patient from falling out of bed! 

 

Use  safety  sides,  shaped  cushions  (accessory)  or  similar 
preventive measures for this purpose. 

 

For safety reasons, this function must be kept locked at all times 

(display 

   lights up orange) while not in use. This prevents 

inadvertent adjustments from being made and the patient from 
falling out of bed. 

 

 

Enabling the function

. 

 

By  pressing  the 

  or  the 

  button  and  a  release  button

,  the  mattress 

base of the bed will tilt along its longitudinal axis. 

While  the  mattress  base  is  being  tilted,  the  motors  will  stop  when  the 
horizontal  position  is  reached  even  if  the  buttons  are still depressed. In 
order to continue tilting beyond the horizontal position, the buttons must 
first be released and  then  pressed again. This makes it easier to  adjust 
the bed to a horizontal position. 

The  mattress  base  can  be  tilted  while  at  any  height.  If  necessary,  the 
height will be automatically adjusted.
