Control Box
-
Using the control box, the handset
[3]
can be locked for the patient.
-
All motorised adjustments can be carried out using the control box.
-
The user must check to ensure that the handset is locked/enabled by pressing
the corresponding buttons!
This must be done:
o
After buttons have just been locked or enabled.
o
Before using a bed again after it has been out of operation.
o
Before using a bed after machine cleaning or disinfection has taken place.
Only users are authorised to use the control box! The medical
personnel must decide which functions, if any, should be locked.
If the clinical condition of the patient is so critical that adjustments
using the handset might be dangerous for her/him, the user must
immediately lock the respective function(s) using the control box.
The bed remains in the position that it was in at the moment when
the functions were switched off.
A sticker on the linen holder draws attention
to the fact that:
The locking of handset functions is particularly important
o
If the patient is not able to operate the bed safely or to
extricate himself from dangerous situations.
o
If the patient could be harmed by unintentional or unexpected
adjustment of the drives.
o
Accessories or other devices are attached that could restrict
the adjustment range of the bed, and put the patient at risk or
cause damage to equipment.
o
Safety sides are raised.
o
Children are left unattended in a room with the bed.
In these cases, adjustments must only be performed by, or in the
presence of a trained person!
Pay attention to the cable routing of the control box!
The cable must be routed in such a way that it cannot be
stretched, crushed or otherwise damaged.
