Congratulations!
Welcome to the world of Control-Line! You’re on
your way to many enjoyable hours of flying. Old
Timers wax nostalgic about their younger days,
and youngsters just have a blast flying
RingRat tm 250.
When properly set up, RingRat tm 250 responds
smoothly and predictably to any control input. An
excellent Sport/Stunt Trainer, many young, old
and not-so-old pilots have put in successful first
time control line flights on the RingRat tm 250. We
never miss an opportunity to sneak out of the
Stevens Aero “Skunked” Works to go flying at the
local park.
If your first flight was a bit more exciting than
you’d have liked, and you’re having problems with
erratic flight performance; please inspect your
equipment and airframe for damage, improper
installation, and/or twists and warps. The most
common mistakes are to try and fly with a warped
or twisted wing, or the controls set up to
sensitively. Straighten her out and tame her
down, working up to the exciting stuff gradually!
RingRat tm 250 tricks:
RingRat tm 250 is capable of all basic control line
maneuvers including: Wing-Overs, Inside and
Outside Loops, Figure 8’s, and Inverted Flight.
We’ve even found that she’ll hang out on the lines
in tight turns nearly overhead!
