Bend Tail Skid continued.
Using round
nose pliers, bend the end of the tail skid into a
loop, leaving the last portion about 1 3/4 in.
long

Using a pin vise and an .047 in. drill, make a
hole in the hardwood fuselage stiffener about
1/2 in. ahead of the stabilizer leading edge.
☐
Insert tail skid and center along the fuselage
toward the rear of the model.
☐
The skid will be retained by two small screws.
Mark two spots close to the bend in the wire
and about 3/8 in. apart.
☐
With an .047 in. or smaller drill, make pilot
holes on the marks. Drill slightly towards the
centerline as shown.
☐
Insert two #2 1/4 in. screws, trapping the tail
skid under the heads of the screws.
