Fuselage Continued
71.
Use one of the supplied 18 in. lengths of yellow nylon pushrod housing, and pass it through
the
left
hole in formers F34, F35, and F36. Now pass the housing through the
right
hole in
former F37 to exit the
right
side of the fuselage through former F48. Work push rod housing
out through tail of the fuselage leaving 1/4 inch extending
forward
of former F34 within the
radio hatch compartment.
Builders Tip! When the push rod housing is visible through the slot in F48, insert a length of
the supplied 1/32 pushrod wire through the slot in F47 and into the center of the housing.
Use the wire to help guide the housing up and out of the aft end of the fuselage.
Repeat the above process to install the second pushrod tube reversing the
left
and
right
instructions to exit through F47 above. Note that tubing should cross just
aft
of former F36.
72.
Once satisfied that the pushrod housings have been properly fit, bond the housing within
the balsa formers using medium CA glue. Now, use a sharp razor blade to trim the housing
where it extends from the exit slot, flush with the surface of F47 and F48.
