117. Fit and tack glue the sub-rib W14 to the front spar and leading edge web, between ribs W6
and W7.
118. Fit and tack glue the leading edge W15 to the leading edge web and the front of each rib
and sub-rib.
Note: The arrow at one end of W15 points to the center of the wing, and must connect with
rib W3. W15 terminates at the centerline of rib W3 allowing a shared landing point for the
later installation of the center section leading edge part.
119. Fit diagonal brace W16 between rib W3 and sub rib W11. The
front
of W16 will fit into the
slot in the W10 leading edge web, and the
rear
will rest in the corner created by sub-rib W11
and the main spar W1.
120. In the same manner, fit the remaining diagonal braces W17, W18, W19, W20, W21, W22,
and W23 between the ribs and sub-ribs, starting outboard of sub-rib W11 and working your
way out to the wing tip as illustrated. Hold the wing half down on a flat surface. Double
check that all wing parts are seated correctly and that there are no gaps between parts.
First tack glue assembly at all adjoining surfaces. Re-inspect your work for proper fit of
parts then, final bond the wing by wicking medium CA around all mating surfaces of the
wing panel as completed to this point.
Repeat steps 106 through 120 - marked with a double check box “
□ □”
to build the
right
wing half. Ensure the
left
wing panel is adequately supported while you build the
right
.
121. Fit one each rear spar brace part W24 to both
right
and
left
wing panels spanning ribs W5,
W6, W7, and Rear Spar W2. Tack glue W24 where it connects to W5 and W6 but do not
bond at W7 as later installation of wing tip will assist in aligning this part over W7.
Note:

122. Hold the center section of the wing down on a flat surface and support the
right
and
left
wing tips. Fit and bond the center section trailing edge part W25 to the rear of ribs W3 and
between the trailing edge parts W8.
123. Continue holding the center section flat. Fit and bond the leading edge web part W26 to the
front of ribs W3 and between the leading edge parts W10.
124. Continue holding the center section flat. Fit and bond the center section leading edge on
top of the center section leading edge web W26, the front of ribs W3, and between the
leading edge parts W15.
