3.
If necessary, turn the adjustment nut at the rear of the solenoid, until a free play of
3 to 4 mm is achieved.
4.
Raise the column lifts to the top position, and check this free play during the
raising.
5.
Lower the column lifts from the top position into the safety lock, and check again
that the free play is 3 to 4mm. Adjust them if necessary.
6.
Adjust the top position end stop using the potentiometer adjustment rod, such
that the pawl comes to 1740 to 1760 mm past the last tooth of the locking ratchet
profile.
7.
Check for oil leaks, damage, and wear and tear. Check electrical cables and
connectors for damage.
8.
If dry, lubricate piston-rod with machine oil.
5.5.5
Checking the safety switch of the pallet lifting mechanism
1.
Start a set of lifting columns moving, without a vehicle.
2.
Now lift one of the columns using the pallet lifting mechanism. The display should
now indicate "DISCONNECTING", and then "Column on wheels. Lower column
before numbering sequence".
3.
Repeat this for all the columns. If the message does not appear, the switch
bushing on the switch rod must be adjusted correctly. See also section
the pallet lifting mechanism safety switch (on page 63)
.
5.5.6
Checking the pneumatic spring(s)
With the pallet lifting mechanisms fully raised, hoist a vehicle of at least 4 tons by
approximately 100 mm. Then check at the rear side of each column lift whether it is on
the floor.

Maintenance switches
Switches can be found in the control panel that can be operated by the fitter during
maintenance to the lifting system. These switches can be used to check whether the
lowering valve, the unlocking solenoid and the hydraulic power unit are functioning
properly.
As soon as the switches are pressed, the system produces an error. The switches
can be used to check that the lowering valve, the unlocking solenoid and the hydraulic
power unit are functioning properly.
