Electrical Safety Verification 

 
 

Equipment Required 
 

HYAMP lll Model 3130 
Hioki Model 3454-11 
Hand tools as required such as screwdrivers, etc. to enter electrical panels and junction boxes. 

 
 

3.2.1.  Insulation from Building Steel or Ground 

 

Purpose: To ensure that the Odyssey system is insulated from the building construction 
and that the insulation resistance is within specification. 
 
Connect the MegaOhm HiTester between the incoming PE Ground wire and the Odyssey 
Cabinet during installation. Test for accidental earthing of the system by testing frequently 
while connecting the cables to the Odyssey Cabinet. 

Do not use the MegaOhm 

HiTester with power applied to the system.

 

 
 

 

Switch the Odyssey Quad HD UPS OFF and then the Odyssey Quad HD system OFF. 

 

Switch the main circuit breaker or disconnect feeding the Odyssey Quad HD system OFF so NO 
power is applied to the Odyssey Cabinet. 

 

Disconnect the following cables on the Odyssey Quad HD Cabinet that connect to the Niobe System 
(If Applicable) and X-ray System:

W664 from Router (A9-Port 2) (Niobe system Ethernet cable)

W618 from A11-J46 (X-Ray Live A TPI Ethernet cable) 

 

 

W619 from A11-J45 (X-Ray Ref A TPI Ethernet cable) 

W394 from A39-Out3 (Control Room Monitor DVI for HD Monitor) 

W397 from A39-Out4 (Procedure Room Monitor DVI for HD Monitor)
