13.3.2 Setting the Destination Address of Trap

You can use the following commands to set or delete the destination address of the trap.

I. CLI configuration:

Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to set the Destination Address of
Trap.

Command

Purpose

Step 1

config terminal

Enter global configuration mode.

Step 2

snmp traps host

host-number

hostaddr

ip-address

[port

udp-port

]

Set the destination address of trap.

Host-number: range is 1 to 3.

Step 3

exit

Return to privileged EXEC mode.

Step 4

show snmp traps

Verify your entries.

Step 5

write

(Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.

II. WEB configuration:

Click SNMP Management, Trap Target Configuration, Select Entry, Specify Transport
Address and Timeout, then click Apply.
