Luminex Captioner/Student User Guide Chapter 4 Writing on the Captioner/Student Edition

Writing Menus

Once you begin writing on the steno keyboard, the first of two Writing menus replaces the Opening

menu. 

The First Writing menu includes features that allow you to:

End

 - close the file.

·

Mark

 - insert electronic (StenoMark) marks in your steno notes.

·

Search

 - find the last Mark or specific steno strokes.

·

Scroll

 - move the highlight up and down in the steno notes.

·

More

... - access the second Writing menu.

Touching 

More...

 on the First Writing menu displays the Second Writing menu.

The second Writing menu includes features that allow you to:

Keyboard

 - make adjustments to your steno keyboard.

·

Status

 -  Luminex Captioner/Student Edition status information.

·

Display

 - adjust Tilting screen steno note font size and backlight level.

·

More

... - access the First Writing menu.

Return to First Writing Menu

Continue writing or touching 

More 

on the second Writing menu returns you to the First Writing menu.

Return to Opening Menu

Touching 

End 

on the First Writing menu closes the current job and returns you to the Opening menu.
