lift the tray directly upwards, pour the liquid out, and dry
the container thoroughly.
2.2.4. MANUAL MODE: PULSE
BUTTON
Used for vacuum packing delicate and moist foods
like fresh meat, fish, blanched vegetables, fruit, cakes,
bread, soft cheeses and alike. Pulse vacuum allows
you to gradually suck the air until you determine enou-
gh air has been extracted from the bag.
When vacuum packing soft and moist foodstuffs, keep
in mind that you must pay particular attention to what
is happening inside the bag.
•
Use Gentle vacuum mode when vacuum packing
especially delicate foods to ensure the most precise
air suction control.
•
Use Moist sealing function for stronger seal when
vacuum packing very moist foods.
a.) Place the open end of the bag between the
gaskets (see Figure 4), close the lid and lock it by
pressing on the edges (Item 7 Figure 1).
b.) Extract the air by pressing the Pulse button:
While the Pulse button is pressed the
vacuum pump is running, when you release
the button the operation stops. You can achi
-
eve specific vacuum pressure in the bag with
several consecutive presses. When you esti
-
mate that enough air has been extracted
(observe what is happening to the foodstuff and
when liquid is beginning to seep towards the
machine) stop pressing the button.
c.) Once the desired negative pressure has been achi
-
eved, press the Seal button to seal the bag (the
Seal light and the pump turn on).
d.) When the bag is sealed, light Seal turns off.
e.) Hold the side buttons to unlock the lid.
Recommendation
: The safest way to vacuum pack
almost all sorts of fruits and most vegetables, fresh
meats, mushrooms and the like, is to freeze them for
a few hours before vacuum packing. This way food (for
example strawberries) will retain their shape comple
-
tely and there will be no risk of liquid seeping into the
vacuum channel.
2.2.5. VACUUM SEALING
STATUS' VACUUM CONTAINERS
AND LIDS
A tube with an attachment for vacuum sealing Status
vacuum accessories (containers, lids and jug) is
included in the set.
a.) Close the lid and lock it by pressing on the edges
(Item 7 Figure 1).
b.) Connect the aperture of the tube to the attachment
located on the left side of the machine (Item 13
Figure 1).
c.) Place the other side of the attachment around the
valve of the chosen vacuum container.
d.) Hold the Pulse button. Once the preset negative
pressure inside the container is achieved, the pro
-
cess ends automatically.
When storing liquids (soups, sauces, and similar), leave
a minimum of 1.5 cm between the surface of the liquid
and the edge of the container.
