Replacement instructions

9.1 Replacing the ball screw
drive (BSD)
Dismantling the BSD:
Always replace the complete
BSD (screw and nut)! Simply remo-
ving the nut will render it useless
(balls will fall out)!
• Remove the sealing strip or bellows.

• Remove the fixed bearing MG.

(VAB)
Démontage de la VAB:
La VAB ne doit être changée
que complètement avec l’écrou!
Le retrait de l’écrou provoque sa
destruction (perte des billes)!
• Démonter la bande de protection ou
le soufflet.

9.1 Sostituzione della vite a sfere
Smontaggio vite a sfere:
La vite a sfere può essere cam-
biata solo completa di chiocciola!
Non portare la chiocciola alle estre-
mità del filetto: ciò può provocare la
fuoriuscita delle sfere!
• Smontare la lamina di protezione
oppure il soffietto.

• Smontare il gruppo cuscinetto di
vincolo assiale (GC).
6.3, 7.3, 8.3
• Push the BSD together with the
carriage and floating bearing off the
guideway and lift them carefully out of
the frame, supporting the screw on
both sides of the carriage.
• For longer screws (1500 mm and
over) grip or suspend the screw at
several points.
Avoid any significant deflection
as this may cause permanent
deformation!
• Pousser la vis à billes avec le plateau
et le palier libre et les retirer soigneu-
sement du corps principal. Ce faisant,
saisir la vis de chaque côté du plateau.
• Pour les vis longues (à partir de
1.500 mm), les saisir à plusieurs en-
droits ou les supporter sur plusieurs
points.
Eviter toute flexion exagérée
pouvant provoquer une déformation
permanente!
• Sfilare con molta attenzione dalla
rotaia, il gruppo vite a sfere, tavola
con relativi pattini e il cuscinetto di
vincolo radiale. Afferrare la vite
davanti e dietro alla tavola.
• Per lunghezze superiori a 1500 mm
reggere le viti mediante appositi
sostegni in più punti.
Evitare flessioni! Pericolo di
deformazioni permanenti!
The threaded ring is secured
with Loctite 638 adhesive.
• Clamp the carriage in a vise fitted with
protective jaws!
• Use a hot air blower to heat up the
threaded ring until the adhesive be-
comes liquid and the ring can be
loosened. Do not overheat.
• Use an appropriately sized face
spanner to unscrew and remove the
threaded ring.
• Carefully draw the screw with nut out
of the carriage and lay it down on a
V-rest.
Do not rest the BSD on the nut!
La bague filetée est fixée au
Loctite 638!
• Bloquer le plateau dans un étau en
utilisant des mors de protection sur
les mâchoires!
• Réchauffer la bague filetée à l’air
chaud jusqu’à ce que l’adhésif soit
liquéfié et que la bague puisse être
démontée.
• Desserrer la bague filetée à l’aide
d’une clé à ergots et la dévisser.
• Retirer prudemment la vis avec
l’écrou du plateau et la déposer
sur un support en V.
Ne pas déposer la VAB sur
l’écrou!
La ghiera filettata che blocca la
chiocciola è assicurata con adesivo
Loctite 638.
• Serrare la tavola in morsa, utilizzando
ganasce di protezione.
• Riscaldare la ghiera filettata con
insufflaggio di aria sufficientemente
calda fino a quando la colla si
rammollisce affinché si possa svitare
la ghiera.
• Allentare e svitare la ghiera filettata
con una chiave a perni laterali.
• Estrarre con cautela la vite e relativa
chiocciola dalla tavola ed appoggiarla
ad un supporto in legno a forma di V.
Evitare che la vite a sfere
appoggi sulla chiocciola!
