11.8.2 Transmitting a DSC Position Send Call
Pre-Programmable Calling
1. Press the [ CALL
(
MENU
)] key. The “
DSC Operation ”
menu will appear in the display.
2. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to select the “ POS
Send
.”
3. Press the [ ENT
] key to select the Individual directory.
4. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to select a name
in the directory, then press the [ ENT
] key.
5. Press the [ ENT
] key to send your position to the se-
lected vessel.
Manual Calling
You may enter an MMSI number manually to contact without the Setting up the
Individual / Position Call Directory.
1. Press the [ CALL
(
MENU
)] key. The “
DSC Operation ”
menu will appear in the display.
2. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to select the “ POS
Send .”
3. Press [ ENT
] key to show the Position Send directory.
This directory uses the INDIVIDUAL Directory infor-
mation.
4. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to select “ Manual ,”
then press the [ ENT
] key.
5. Enter the MMSI number (eight digits) which you want
to contact by the keypad, then press the [ ENT
] key.
6. Press the [ ENT
] key to send your position to the se-
lected vessel.
