Reading in individual user keys/
cards
• The master card is used to switch
t
he ELM into the prog
ramming
mode (red LED lights up).
• By passing them in front of the
ELM , all the
remaining user keys/
cards are read into the system in
sequence and thus entitled to trigger
the switching output of the ELM.
As a confirmati
on of each user key/
card read-in process, the green LED
flashes after around 1 s
econd.
Termination of the read-in pro-
cess
The read-in process is terminated
by passing the master card in front
of the ELM again, or automatically
by a timeout function which cuts
in 15 seconds after
the last user
key/card has been read in. After
completion of the read-in process,
the green LED on the front of the
ELM
lights up, so indic
ating the
operating status.
Cancelling individual users
It is not possible to cancel indi-
vidual users in stand-alone opera-
tion. Reading in the master card
for
15 seconds will canc
el all the
entered users at the ELM. To
confirm
the completed cancellation proce-
dure, the red LED flashes for 3 sec
-
onds. It is then possible to restart
the read-in process of individual user
keys/cards. The cancellation process
does not affect the master card.
If the as-delivered status is to be
established, i.e. a new master card
is also to be created, then the BCD
rotary switch located behind the
inspection shaft cover with the green
dot must be set to the “0” position
and then back to the “1” position
(live).
